Summary:
Approval of the proposed Resolution will award the Request For Proposal (RFP) on a used tandem axle day cab semi-tractor, for the low bid of $93,000.00.
Background:
The Street Division utilizes semi-tractors with side dump trailers to haul snow in the winter and other materials for summer operations. The city originally budgeted for a new truck in 2021; however, due to supply chain issues, new vehicles are not readily available.
The RFP bid opening was held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 1:30 pm and one proposal was received:
Double K Sales & Detailing $93,000.00
The proposal submitted by Double K Sales & Detailing satisfied all the criteria of the RFP and the Street Division’s mechanic has thoroughly inspected the semi-tractor and found no issues.

Proper management of fleet and operational efficiencies supports the strategic plan initiatives of fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
Financial Consideration:
Funding of $275,000 for the semi-tractor was originally budgeted in 2021 and carried over the last two years in 2nd Penny Sale Tax, Vehicles and Equipment Capital Expense 213-000-5-940-11.
