Public Hearing and Action on Resolution 21-047, a Resolution of Necessity for Street Assessment Project 2021-02STA; 15^th Street South & 7^th Avenue South.

Summary:

This project is the first step to initiate the Street Assessment Project 2021-02STA; 15^th Street South and 7^th Avenue South.  The assessment project includes constructing collector streets with water and sanitary sewer mains and services, grading, gravel, curb & gutter, valley gutter, asphalt pavement, storm sewer, detention pond, drainage channel and wetland mitigation.  City staff met with the private property owners to review their share of the approximate assessment costs.  The City will pay for the assessment costs abutting the City-owned parcels.

The project design is nearly complete and is scheduled to be bid this summer.  Upon a successful bid award, the project will start construction during the fall 2021 and be completed during the summer 2022.
