Jackie Lanning is retiring from the City of Brookings following 30 years of service (31 years this coming October).
• Jackie was hired October 1, 1990 as the Assistant City Engineer, in October of 2003 she filled the role of Acting City Engineer until April 2004 when she was promoted to “City Engineer.”
Jackie has spent nearly 31 years in the City Engineer’s Office with the City of Brookings. During her tenure with the City she has been involved with the management of the Brookings Regional Airport, many drainage projects, infrastructure projects, the first phase of the 22nd Avenue Reconstruction Project, and most recently she has been the Project Manager on the 20th Street South BUILD Project.
