Summary:
The City of Brookings is applying to abate the property taxes on Parcel #40120-00100-017-00, also known as 659 Faculty Drive. The City acquired the property in 2020 and the seller’s share of the property taxes was pro-rated and accounted for in the property acquisition. Now that the City of Brookings owns the parcel, the 2020 property taxes will be abated.
Fiscal Impact:
The property tax revenue will be reduced by $2,372.50.
