Summary:
The resolution will approve the final change order for 2019-08STI Street Maintenance & Overlay Project with Bowes Construction, Inc. to adjust bid quantities to as-constructed quantities and for extra concrete work on Fallbrook Drive for a total decrease of $28,637.02 to close out the project.

Background:
This project was the annual street maintenance project which includes asphalt milling, digouts and overlays on various streets in Brookings that were in need of repair. The areas that were repaired included:

* 12th Street South from 17th Avenue South to 22nd Avenue South: full width mill and 2" asphalt overlay
* 8th Street South from Medary Avenue South to 22nd Avenue South: full width mill and 2" asphalt overlay along with striping the bike lanes at 5' wide and painting new bike lane symbols as part of the Bicycle Master Plan
* Fallbrook Drive: full digout and reconstruction of the street from the south side of LeFevre Drive to 32nd Avenue
* 5th Street South & Division Avenue: digout areas, milling along the curb & gutter and a 2" asphalt overlay.
* 7th Street South and Elm Avenue: milling and overlay
* Various smaller areas throughout the City in the need of digouts and patching including Pheasant Run Road near Pamela Drive and Arrowhead Pass, the intersection of Dean Court and Craig Court, Teresa Avenue and 9th Avenue South near 20th Street South

The project is completed and is ready to be closed out. This change order will adjust the bid quantities to as-constructed quantities for a total decrease of $28,637.02 to close out the project. The decrease in cost for the project was primarily due to the removal of a turnaround on 32nd Ave due to standing water in the turnaround area.
