Summary and Recommended Action:
A statistical review of the 2025 hotel occupancy, revenues, and expenses. The Business Improvement District #1 is a $2.00 per occupied room per day fee applied to all hotels consisting of twenty-five (25) or more hotel rooms in the City of Brookings. Hotels submit monthly reports to the City and the data is compiled and summarized for tracking purposes. The revenues collected are utilized by Brookings Regional Growth Alliance, formerly Visit Brookings, to assist in the retention and expansion of the visitor industry.
