Summary:
The 2025 Annual Report provides an overview of items that the Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission addressed over the previous year.
In 2025, the Board of Adjustment reviewed 24 variance requests, approving 22 of them. In comparison, the Board of Adjustment reviewed 21 variance requests the previous year, approving 19 of them.
The Planning Commission reviewed the following items in 2025.
• 4 Preliminary Plats
• 7 Petitions to Rezone
• 4 Ordinance Amendments
• 6 Conditional Use Permits
• 4 Commercial Corridor Site Plans
• 1 Tax Increment Financing District
• 3 Final Development Plans
• 4 Annexations
• 4 Comprehensive Plan Amendments
• 1 Joint Jurisdiction Rezone
In total, 56 new residential lots were final platted in 2025 with 58 more being preliminary platted. This is a decrease in final plats from the previous year and a slight increase for preliminary platted residential lots. Conditional use permits, final development plans, annexations and ordinance revisions were up in 2025 while rezoning requests, commercial corridor site plans, future land use map amendments and joint jurisdiction rezones were down.
The Annual Report review offers a time for the Planning Commission to discuss other successes, challenges and priorities for the year ahead.
