Summary:
The City of Brookings and Brookings County originally created a Joint Cooperative Agreement in 2010 for the purchase of land, construction, equipping, and maintaining of the Brookings City & County Government Center. The updated agreement removes outdated provisions related to the purchase of land and construction of the facility, establishes that City membership on the Government Center Advisory Committee will be City staff appointed by the City Manager, and provides for the declaration of surplus property. The Joint Powers Board approved the updated agreement at the November 2021 meeting.
