Summary:

The proposed resolution will increase the contract amount of the 2023-04STI 22^nd Avenue Phase 2 Reconstruction Project, awarded to Timmons Construction Co., Brookings, SD, in the amount of $142,154.29 (3.5%).  The increased amount is for 1) additional work required by South Dakota State Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR), 2) acceleration of the project; target the opening of the Orchard / 22^nd Avenue and 8^th Street South / 22^nd Avenue intersections, prior to the start of school on August 23, 2023, and 3) improvements to the traffic control plan/signage.

Financial Impact:

If approved, the contract with Timmons Construction Co. will be increased in the amount of $142,154.29.
