Summary and Recommended Action:
The Study Advisory Group, Public Works, and the City’s consultant, HDR, Inc., have worked over the past several years to update the Brookings Area Transportation Plan (Plan). The Plan will serve as a guiding document for future improvements to the City’s transportation network. As part of this effort, the Brookings Area Safety Plan was also developed to make the City eligible for the Federal Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program. Both plans will be presented today and brought to the City Council for acceptance in June. No action is recommended at this time.
