Biography
Jared Runge - Fire Department - Promotion to Fire Marshal
The Brookings Fire Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Jared Rund to Fire Marshal. Jared has been a member of the Brookings Fire Department since 2020, serving as Office / Shop Manager. Jared also served as an Engine Captain with the Volunteer Firefighters.
Jared graduated with his AS in Fire Science from Southern Columbia University; is a Certified Firefighter I and II and is also a Certified SD Fire Instructor. He is nearing the completion of his bachelor’s degree.
