Body
Summary:
Applicant is proposing to replace windows at 911 7th Street with vinyl windows. In addition, the structure has a non-conforming egress window in the basement and needs to provide proper egress to meet the rental dwelling ordinance. SHPO has requested a case report on the project.
The following write up was provided in the nomination form:
911 Seventh Street
One and on-half story gable end frame dwelling with a cross-gable plan, projecting eaves, boxed cornices with returns, and full-width open porch. The boxed cornices with returns reflect the influence of the Greek Revival and Colonial Revival styles of architecture, but this is still a vernacular building. The façade is characterized by the large gable end with wood beltcourse above a single window in the upper gable end and the lower façade contains a large picture window with decorative transom and single door entrance beneath the flat roofed porch.
