Mayor Niemeyer has submitted the following appointment for City Council advice and consent:
Brookings Historic Preservation Commission
Number of positions: 1
Term Length: 3 years (seat which has been vacant)
Residency Requirement: Required for Majority
Purpose: The purpose of the Historic Preservation Commission is to allow the city to engage in a comprehensive program of historic preservation to promote the inspiration, pleasure and enrichment of the citizens of Brookings through identification, documentation, preservation, promotion, and development of the city’s historic resources.
